"I have spent a couple of months looking for the perfect work at home job to fit my current schedule. I already have a full time job working as a bank teller and wanted to find something that I could do in my spare time that could bring in a little extra cash each month.

My standards for finding a work at home position were fairly high. I wanted something that obviously I could do from my home and only needed a small amount of commitment. Since I already had a job and a pretty busy personal life I wanted a work at home job that wasn't demanding or involved set hours. Since I don't really have work at home experience and currently only have my high school diploma, I wasn't sure what would be available to me.

I started off by trying a couple of data entry companies only to be disappointed by the scams they turned out to be. I then found Helium through this site. Helium is a meeting place for writers and people interested in purchasing articles from those writers. Now, first off, when I say writers I don't mean published authors, I mean normal people like you and me who have knowledge and are willing to share that knowledge. At first I thought that my writing skills wouldn't be good enough, but as long as you have a decent writing ability and have an opinion or thought about the subject needed you can turn this into a part time gig.

How it works is that the people interested in articles (website owners/publishers) come to Helium and state their requests. Requests are basic information about what kind of article they are looking for. Then the members/writers of Helium look at the current requests and pick which ones would be interesting to write about. After the articles are turned in, the website owners pick and choose which ones they want to purchase. As for the price, it varies but can go as high as $200. When writing my articles I have to use spell checker since I am such a bad speller. I also found out the a thesaurus website is handy when looking to add variations of words.

Well, I found my part time work at home job. It's totally commitment free, I never have to write if I don't want to. I choose when I want to work and am making a little extra cash. I forgot to mention that Helium is free to join. So in addition to being a pretty great part time work at home opportunity it's also free."
